Test Engineering Intern for Disassembly (m/f/x)

Your Responsibilities
As a Test Engineering Intern for Disassembly, you will support the Head of R&D for Disassembly in all disassembly-related tasks, mainly working on the explorative testing work on the disassembly of garments/textile products prototyped by Resortecs’ customers.
Main tasks and responsibilities include:
1. Smart Disassembly™ batch system testing routine :
• Assist the technical team during the different thermal disassembly trials of prototypes produced by fashion brands/partners using our textile disassembly oven
• Support the listing and analyzing of the components/materials of prototypes sent by brands
• Identify the physical properties (area weight/density, type of textile structure, moisture content…) and thermal properties (specific heat, melting or glow temperature…) of the prototypes’ materials
• Assist in writing disassembly test reports for external communication to Resortecs’ customers/partners
•Support live disassembly demonstrations for brands, or assist in recording the relevant footage of the test to be sent to brands.
2. Know-how safeguarding:
• Compile test results and develop internal reports of the learnings coming out of the disassembly of new products
• Update and improve the disassembly test protocols to standardize optimizations found in different disassembly parameter settings
• Create product disassembly sheets to summarize the essential aspects of the disassembly process specific to each product
• Assist in development projects regarding the recyclability of textiles.
3. Maintenance tasks and disassembly optimization R&D
• Assist the Head of R&D for Disassembly in the maintenance tasks of the disassembly oven
•Brainstorm potential improvements to the current batch oven and disassembly processes.
Your Profile
•You are a final-year Engineering student with a focus on materials science engineering, textile engineering, mechanical engineering, product design engineering, or equivalent.
• You are well versed in Excel and statistics and are familiar with Design of Experiments methodologies.
• You are hands-on and perseverant by nature, results-oriented, and have a pragmatic mindset.
• You are meticulous and have an interest in experiments and testing.
• You are a confident and independent fast learner, who can work under pressure and tackle challenges on your own.
• You have very good communication skills in English, French is a plus.
• You have strong PC/Mac literacy.
• You want to have a positive impact on society and nature.
